There are some reeeally good restaurants in Del Mar.
[Sbicca; so delicious! watermelon, tomato, feta, cucumber, almond salad, bacon-wrapped shrimps, korean short rib lettuce cup tacos]
[Sbicca; omelettes for brunch]
[Prep Kitchen; one of the BEST tuna melts; gouda, ramoulade, rye bread. Fish tacos with jicama mango slaw] We actually said we would come to Del Mar just for this restaurant. That good.
[Jake's; truffle mashed potatoes, seafood stew, ahi tuna on couscous and squash]
Cool markets in the area.
[David Alan Collections] One of the most unique furniture spots we’ve found! Hand carved wooden pieces, lots of special pieces from Indonesia, etc and just wood wood wood central.
[David Alan Collections] I must have been a carpenter or a woodchuck in a past life because just the sight of wood makes me giddy!
[Little Dom's] Headed back home and stopped in Los Feliz for pizza and pasta.
I may be showing my snobbery here but the pasta was OK. To anyone else, this should have been a fairly satisfying, authentically-tasting pasta but they don’t make their pasta noodles on site and I can taste the difference. My taste buds have been spoiled forever. Oh, woe is me!
