Enjoy your doubts. Our souls feed off mysteries. -Paulo Coehlo

What are you really afraid of?
Stop avoiding it and go toward that..

The most difficult phase of life is not when no one understands you; it is when you don’t understand yourself.

Every person, all the events of your life are there because you have drawn them there. What you choose to do with them is up to you -Richard Bach

There is no such thing as a problem without a gift for you in its hands. You seek problems because you need their gifts. -Richard Bach (!!!)

anything real, true and ego-less is effortless

I’m going to fail in my own way so let me fail..

Hold on tight to your beliefs no matter what anybody says..

People have enough to live but nothing to live for; they have the means but no meaning. -Robert William Fogel

It really isn’t a journey at all of the outside. It’s the journey of our soul. Where are you going inside?

We cannot judge another’s journey with “should’s” “shouldn’t's” “never’s” – those are only projections of our own limitations..

There’s nothing really wrong with feeling angry; feeling passionate. Anger is only hurt in disguise; only when you judge that anger does it turn into ego. And the ego always loses..

Lean too much on other people’s approval and it becomes a bed of thorns. -Tehyi Hsieh

Laugh, laugh and laugh some more because it all won’t matter pretty soon : )

  1. “anything real, true and ego-less is effortless” I love that!!.. keep up the good work ;)

I like many of these quotes. But specially the two from Richard Bach.

All this knowledge we have can sometimes be confusing. Because some are paradoxes. Thats why it’s so difficult to put some in to practise. Specially when one is a perfectionist like me and don’t allow failure. Doubts enter. And I stay in the comfort zone. I might just stop think about it at all and just be. Listening to the song ‘Let it Be’ helps.
I don’t know if this thinking is applicable to others? But those are my thoughts.

    • Hey Leonarde! You know.. I go through the same thoughts.. some times I wonder if it is simpler to just be and not seek so many different answers. Say, the sayings from Zen readings leave me sometimes confused, at times conflicted. It seems to all be a paradox! Dualities.. (i.e.: Be everything. Be nothing., lightness is darkness, sun, moon; that sort of thing)
The more I learn, the more I see contradictions, angles, exceptions, etc. I’ll think, ‘stop thinking so much..’ But then I’ll think ‘that’s okay’.. it’s okay to feel those conflict, doubts, the frustration of unknowingness
Maybe you aren’t in a comfort zone, but you’ve found your own balance?? :)

  3. Leonarde Brandstrom your response is brilliant! Stripped Canvas this post is so where I am these days. So funny I just posted in my blog a poem that speaks to my sensuality which is definitely out of my comfort zone. I love what you have done here with the beautiful photos and the insightful quotes. I hope you don’t mind if I borrow your format for one of my future posts because it is excellent.
