Sometimes inspiration will just hit me and linger in front of my face and cloud my mind until I give in and say, Ok Ok I will write you down. Sometimes it’s when I’m asleep and I force myself up, scribbling down jibberish on the nearest piece of paper to me. Or when I’m driving and so, I pull out my phone and punch in the letters as fast as I can. Are you going to help me stay in between these yellow lines, Inspiration…? Watch that car!
And sometimes it can be only clues, like little voices of elves telling me just what I need to hear at that moment. Either way, they don’t shut up until I listen and write them down. I think of these little clues as “promises to myself.” They are there to bring me up when I have nothing else. Usually, they are basic but writing them makes them feel concrete, like mini-goals. Here are just a few…
- Be inspired daily. Avoid anything that is an energy-sucker (certain people, certain foods, laziness, negative self-talk).
- I may feel negative around somebody only because of my own reactions toward them, but even if it is me, that is good enough reason to stay away for the time-being (yes, even friends).
- Just DO! And keep doing (for me, it’s writing even if it’s terrible). No matter what anyone else says, I’m the writer of this destiny and I’m the only one who can and will carry it out so fight for it.
- Keep fighting until the end.
- What others think of me does not worry or tempt me.
- The only thing that matters in this life is that I am honest to myself and others.
- Nothing is ever a mistake or an accident.

True true – I go to a Pervian restaurant in Orange County and I would show them pictures from your blog while you were in Peru and they are familiar with the places you visited – if you ever get to Fountain Valley, visit Inka Cantina
